About the Role

An opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher to join the school's secondary teaching team, delivering Mathematics across Years 8–10.

This full-time position is available on either an ongoing or 12-month fixed-term basis, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

The school welcomes applications from graduate and experienced Mathematics teachers who demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management and a commitment to supporting students of varying abilities.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Years 8–10, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.

• Assess, monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies to support different learning needs and abilities.

• Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment, prioritising student wellbeing, engagement and child safety.

• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues to support positive learning outcomes.

• Collaborate with the Mathematics teaching team, contribute to curriculum planning and actively participate in professional learning opportunities.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications with sound Mathematics curriculum knowledge.

• Graduate and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

• Demonstrated classroom management skills and the ability to engage students across Years 8–10.

• Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

• Full Australian working rights. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Willingness to respect and support the school's Catholic ethos and Marist values. Religious affiliation is not required.

• Two professional referees and willingness to complete HARKE Recruitment's safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
