HARKE has partnered with a co-educational Catholic Day and Boarding School in regional NSW, educating more than 900 students across Years 7-12, including approximately 150 boarders from rural, regional and remote communities. Grounded in the Marist tradition, the College offers a strong Catholic ethos, an established boarding program and a close regional school community. The TAS Faculty delivers a diverse range of practical and technology-based subjects, providing an opportunity for an experienced educator to lead curriculum, staff and teaching practice across Stage 4-6.
About the PositionThis full-time teaching position includes overseeing the strategic direction, curriculum delivery and daily operations of the TAS Faculty. The successful educator will lead and support staff delivering a broad Stage 4-6 program across Metal, Timber, Textiles, Engineering, Digital Technology, Industrial Technology, Food Technology, Hospitality, Design & Technology and Computer Technology. The role would suit an experienced TAS teacher with demonstrated leadership capability who can mentor colleagues, oversee a diverse curriculum and maintain high standards of teaching and student learning.
Skills and Responsibilities-
Lead curriculum planning and delivery across the TAS Faculty, supporting a broad range of Stage 4-6 practical and technology subjects.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and safe practice across classrooms, workshops and specialist learning environments.

Communicate clearly with students, families, TAS staff and College leadership regarding learning, faculty priorities and student progress.

Mentor and support TAS teachers while promoting consistent curriculum, assessment and teaching practices across the faculty.

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the faculty, including the effective coordination of staff, programs and specialist learning areas.
Requirements

TAS Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching within TAS and the capacity to lead a diverse Stage 4-6 faculty.

Leadership: Applicants must demonstrate the ability to lead curriculum, mentor teaching staff and oversee the daily operations of a TAS Faculty.

Faith Alignment: Applicants must demonstrate alignment with the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College.

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain accreditation with NESA.

Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential for this role.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
The successful applicant will receive a salary of $92,000 - $133,000 , dependent on experience, plus the applicable leadership allowance.
Relocation assistance may be available, including potential support with accommodation and moving costs. Any relocation support will be discussed with the Principal following interview.
