About the Position

The College is seeking a Primary Teacher for the 2027 school year, with the possibility of the position becoming ongoing. The teaching load is expected to focus on lower or junior Primary year levels. The successful teacher will have a sound understanding of the Australian Curriculum, establish positive relationships with students and create a structured, supportive classroom environment.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Primary programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum

• Establish positive classroom management practices and strong student relationships

• Maintain a strong commitment to safeguarding, student welfare and inclusive practice

• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements

• Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

• Relevant Primary teaching qualifications

• Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum

• Willingness to support the College’s Christian ethos, with no requirement to be a practising Christian

• Full Australian working rights

• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding process
