About the Position
This ongoing part-time position involves teaching Music across Prep to Year 6 over three days per week. The successful candidate will deliver an engaging primary Music program focused on developing student confidence, creativity, participation and musical skills. The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the school's Music program, including potential expansion of instrumental offerings such as guitar and keyboard.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Music lessons for students across Prep to Year 6.
- Foster student creativity, confidence and participation through classroom and performance-based learning.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment aligned with safeguarding requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school activities, performances and student learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the continued development of the school's Music program and instrumental offerings.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Permission to Teach candidates will also be considered.
- Faith Alignment: Applicants must demonstrate an active Christian faith, provide a pastoral reference, and align with the school's Protestant Christian ethos.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
