About the Role

This full-time Chemistry Teacher position will commence in Term 1, 2027 and can be offered as either a 12-month contract or an ongoing appointment, depending on the successful candidate. The school is seeking a capable Chemistry teacher who can deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned learning while building positive relationships with students and contributing to the school's Christian community.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Chemistry and Science programs with strong subject knowledge and effective pedagogy.

• Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

• Build positive relationships with students and communicate effectively with families and colleagues regarding learning and progress.

• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning, assessment and positive student outcomes.

• Actively contribute to the Christian life of the school and demonstrate Christian faith through teaching, relationships and involvement in the wider community.

Requirements

• Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

• Relevant secondary teaching qualifications with the ability to teach Chemistry

• A genuine and active Christian faith is essential, with candidates required to demonstrate their personal faith and church background

• Australian-based and suitable international teachers are encouraged to apply

• Sponsorship can be considered for the right candidate

• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding
