Permanent Full-Time Teaching Position | Two-Year Leadership Appointment
Salary: $95,551 – $137,031 + $12,678 PAR Allowance
HARKE has partnered with a well-established independent school in Darwin seeking experienced teachers interested in stepping into Year Level Coordinator leadership positions within the Middle and Senior School.
This role is focused on the whole student experience — combining academic progress, pastoral care, wellbeing, behaviour support and strong relationships with students, staff and families. The Year Level Coordinator works closely with student services, curriculum leaders and other Year Level Coordinators to build a connected and supportive year-level community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pastoral care, wellbeing and student engagement across the year level.
- Monitor academic progress and work with staff to support individual and cohort needs.
- Build strong relationships with students, families and teaching staff.
- Coordinate staff support around student learning, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Apply restorative approaches to behaviour, relationships and student concerns.
- Contribute to wider school programs, events and community-building initiatives.

- A student-centred approach to pastoral care and leadership.
- Confidence managing behaviour and student issues using restorative and fair processes.

What Is Offered
- Permanent full-time teaching position.

- Additional PAR allowance of $12,678 gross per annum, increasing to $13,224 from July 2027.

Requirements
- NT Teacher Registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Full Australian work rights.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Strong experience supporting student learning, wellbeing and pastoral care.
- Two professional referees and completion of HARKE safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
