About the Position
The Year 9 Learning & Teaching Coordinator provides cross-campus leadership of the Year 9 program. As a POL 3 role and member of the Learning and Teaching Executive, the Coordinator is responsible for setting strategic direction, leading program development, and ensuring Year 9 students experience authentic, challenging, and future-focused learning.

This position requires a highly accomplished educator who can model exemplary practice, inspire colleagues, and drive cross-campus consistency in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be an innovative leader who can balance vision with practical delivery, while supporting staff to meet the developmental, academic, and wellbeing needs of Year 9 students.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for all aspects of Year 9 teaching and learning across three campuses.

  • Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum and learning programs aligned to the Victorian Curriculum.

  • Build capacity of campus leaders and classroom staff through coaching and mentoring.

  • Analyse student data and embed evidence-based practices that raise achievement and engagement.

  • Ensure student wellbeing is central to the Year 9 experience, incorporating Catholic values, pastoral care, and social-emotional learning.

  • Contribute to the strategic leadership of the College as a member of the Learning and Teaching Executive.

Requirements

  • Registration: Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia.
