About the Position

The school is seeking a passionate and engaging Teacher of French (Years 7–12, VCE) to join their dedicated Languages Department from Term 1, 2026. This is a full-time ongoing position. The ability to teach IB would be highly regarded.

Teachers at the school are active contributors to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the community, playing an integral role in supporting student wellbeing, resilience, and engagement.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned French lessons across Years 7–12, including VCE.

  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.

  • Contribute to co-curricular and pastoral care programs as part of the wider school community.

  • Engage with parents, students, and colleagues in a manner that reflects the school’s values and commitment to student wellbeing.

  • Uphold the school’s Student Safeguarding Framework and maintain a strong focus on child safety and professional integrity.

Requirements

  • Registration: Must hold or be eligible for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
