About the Position

This full-time specialist role focuses on supporting Year 7–8 students working at foundation level in numeracy. The successful candidate will deliver targeted intervention programs, run small-group support sessions, and implement evidence-based numeracy strategies to build student confidence and mastery. This role suits a teacher with strong junior maths capability and experience in inclusive education or special education, with a passion for helping lower-attaining learners progress.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored, curriculum-aligned numeracy programs for Years 7–8 learners working below benchmark.

  • Apply safeguarding practices to ensure student safety and wellbeing.

  • Communicate clearly with students, families, and staff to support learner progress.

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support teams to reinforce numeracy growth.

  • Lead small-group intervention sessions using proven strategies to re-engage and extend students.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
