About the Position
This full-time specialist role focuses on supporting Year 7–8 students working at foundation level in numeracy. The successful candidate will deliver targeted intervention programs, run small-group support sessions, and implement evidence-based numeracy strategies to build student confidence and mastery. This role suits a teacher with strong junior maths capability and experience in inclusive education or special education, with a passion for helping lower-attaining learners progress.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver tailored, curriculum-aligned numeracy programs for Years 7–8 learners working below benchmark.

Apply safeguarding practices to ensure student safety and wellbeing.

Communicate clearly with students, families, and staff to support learner progress.

Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support teams to reinforce numeracy growth.

Lead small-group intervention sessions using proven strategies to re-engage and extend students.

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.
