About the Role

This short-term contract role, commencing ASAP in Term 2 for a 7-week period, involves teaching Science across Years 7-10. The teacher will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical skill development. The role suits an adaptable educator who can quickly build rapport, maintain continuity of learning, and contribute positively to a collaborative faculty.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum for Years 7-10
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive laboratory and classroom environment, prioritising student wellbeing
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and timely feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum and support cross-faculty initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff while contributing to school culture

Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for VIT registration
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
