About the Position

This full-time position involves teaching Mathematics to a Year 5 class with a focus on engaging, concept-driven instruction that deepens students’ understanding and confidence in numeracy. The successful candidate will plan and deliver targeted Maths lessons, support student progress, and contribute positively to the broader school community. Skills and Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver curriculum-aligned Maths lessons for a Year 5 class.

  • Uphold student wellbeing and safety in accordance with safeguarding policies.

  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support learning.

  • Collaborate with the teaching team to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.

  • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and leadership in classroom practice.

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
