About the Role

This full-time, ongoing position will commence at the start of Term 1, 2026. The successful applicant will teach Design Technology across Years 7–10, specialising in Woodwork, with Metalwork experience highly regarded. The role is ideal for a hands-on educator who values creativity, safety, and purposeful learning, guiding students through design processes and practical construction projects in a well-equipped workshop environment.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons, specialising in Woodwork (Metalwork desirable).

  • Promote safe and responsible workshop practices, ensuring all activities meet safety standards.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support learning outcomes.

  • Collaborate within the Technology faculty to enhance curriculum and cross-disciplinary projects.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the College through co-curricular and pastoral involvement.


Requirements

  • Registration with, or eligibility for, Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE safeguarding onboarding
