About the Position
The school is seeking a dynamic Visual Art Teacher to join their team for the remainder of the 2025 school year. This is a full-time contract role with the potential to continue in an ongoing capacity from 2026. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering engaging and skill-based Art lessons across secondary year levels, with a passion for helping students explore visual creativity and artistic expression.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery – Teach Visual Art in alignment with the Australian Curriculum

  • Student Engagement – Foster creativity, critical thinking, and personal expression

  • Studio Management – Ensure safe and effective use of classroom art resources

  • Collaboration – Work with Arts faculty to enhance programs and assessment

  • Professionalism – Maintain clear communication and high standards of student care

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QLD Teacher Registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
