About the VCE Vocational Major Position

This position will commence in Term 1, 2027, with the college seeking a teacher to contribute to its VCE Vocational Major program. The specific teaching load will be discussed and developed around the successful candidate's strengths, experience and teaching methods, providing flexibility within the 2027 timetable. The role will support students undertaking applied and vocational learning pathways, helping them build practical skills and prepare for further education, training or employment. An ongoing appointment is available, although a fixed-term contract can also be considered for candidates who prefer this arrangement.

• Plan and deliver engaging VCE VM learning experiences with a strong focus on applied and practical learning

• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment that prioritises student wellbeing and engagement

• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues to support individual learning and pathway goals

• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver cohesive VCE VM programs and support students transitioning into further education, training or employment

• Contribute to the ongoing development of vocational and applied learning opportunities across the college

• VIT registration or eligibility to obtain

• At least two references from recent employers and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding
