About the Role

This full-time, ongoing role commencing in Term 1, 2026 involves teaching VCE Physical Education in the Senior School while holding the leadership position of Head of Year 10. The role may also include contributions to Middle School Physical Education and student wellbeing. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team committed to high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and proactive pastoral care.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and rigorous VCE Physical Education lessons and contribute to Middle School Physical Education and wellbeing programs.

  • Lead the Year 10 cohort through effective pastoral care, community building, and year-level initiatives.

  • Apply strong curriculum knowledge with effective differentiation and assessment practices.

  • Create a productive and supportive learning environment that promotes engagement, motivation, and high standards.

  • Maintain clear communication with students, families, and colleagues while contributing to the wider school community.

  • Support the school’s approach to child safety, wellbeing, and co-curricular involvement.

Requirements

  • Registration with, or eligibility for, the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

  • Full Australian work rights.

  • Two referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding.
