About the Role
This part-time (0.4 FTE), teaching position commences in Term 2, 2026, and focuses on delivering VCE Media and Upper Secondary Media Studies within a supportive and collaborative Arts faculty. The school is seeking a teacher with the ability to engage students through creative, contemporary, and practical learning experiences while supporting strong academic outcomes. This opportunity would suit an experienced Media educator or a motivated teacher with a passion for Visual Arts and Media Studies who is eager to contribute to the broader school community.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Media and Visual Arts lessons across Years 7-12, including VCE Media, ongoing contract.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes creativity and student growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and Arts faculty initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding learning and wellbeing
- Support the school’s Christian ethos through professional practice, relationships, and participation in community life
Requirements
- Current or eligibility for VIT registration
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to support and uphold the school’s Christian values and ethos
- Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
