About the Position

The College is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher with strong VCE experience who can step into the role and immediately make an impact. The successful candidate will be confident in teaching senior classes, including Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics, and will bring expertise, enthusiasm, and initiative to the department.

This is a full-time ongoing position, commencing in Term 4, 2025 or Term 1, 2026.

Skills and Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in Mathematics across Years 7–12, with a focus on VCE classes.

  • Provide targeted support and extension to students, ensuring strong academic outcomes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative programs and assessments.

  • Contribute to the broader life of the College through co-curricular and pastoral initiatives.

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
