About the Position

The school is seeking a full-time Legal Studies Teacher to commence in Term 1, 2026. The role involves teaching Years 10–12 Legal Studies, including both the VCE and International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum streams. This is a permanent ongoing position within a collaborative and forward-thinking secondary team.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach Legal Studies across Years 10–12, including VCE and IB curriculum

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and understanding of legal systems

  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues

  • Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting

  • Support co-curricular and enrichment activities within the college

Requirements

  • Registration: Current VIT registration (or eligibility)

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia

  • Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding process
