About the Position

This full-time position commencing in Term 3, 2026 combines classroom teaching with a key student wellbeing leadership responsibility. The successful candidate will teach Health and Physical Education across Years 7-12, including VCE. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to lead the Secondary House program as House Coordinator. This role will suit an educator who is passionate about student engagement, wellbeing and fostering a strong sense of belonging through house-based initiatives, mentoring and community-building programs.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs across Years 7-12, including VCE studies.

  • Lead and develop the Secondary House program, fostering participation, connection and positive school culture.

  • Support student wellbeing through mentoring, behaviour support and collaboration with wellbeing and learning support teams.

  • Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues to support positive educational outcomes.

  • Collaborate with leadership and teaching staff to strengthen teaching, learning and student engagement across the school.

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Faith Alignment: Ability to actively support and uphold the Christian values and ethos of the school.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
