About the Role

The school is seeking a Full-Time VCE English Teacher commencing in Term 3, 2026 through to the end of the school year. The role involves teaching VCE English across the senior years, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes through engaging and differentiated learning experiences. This opportunity would suit an educator who is passionate about literacy, critical thinking, and fostering a positive learning environment within a collaborative secondary setting.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective VCE English programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements
  • Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing, and classroom management
  • Communicate professionally with students, colleagues, and families
  • Collaborate effectively within the English faculty and broader school community
  • Contribute positively to a faith-based and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Commitment to supporting Catholic education and contemporary pedagogy
  • Ability to meet child safeguarding requirements, including provision of referees and HARKE onboarding processes
