About the Position

This full-time, ongoing role will commence in January 2026 and involves teaching English across Years 7–12, including VCE English (Units 1–2 in 2026, progressing to Units 3–4 in 2027). The successful candidate will bring a deep love of literature and language, the ability to engage students in critical discussion, and a passion for shaping confident, articulate thinkers.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach English across Years 7–12, specialising in VCE English.

  • Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that challenge and inspire.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and assessment.

  • Contribute to the wider school life through co-curricular and pastoral involvement.

  • Maintain high professional standards and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Registration: Hold or be eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

  • Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential.

  • Safeguarding: Provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process.
