About the Position

This full-time, ongoing position commences at the start of Term 1, 2026. The successful applicant will teach English across Years 7–12, with a particular focus on VCE English. You’ll be joining a collegial and passionate English faculty that values creative and analytical learning, encourages critical thinking, and supports students to achieve strong VCE outcomes.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across junior and senior levels

  • Support VCE students in developing advanced analytical, writing, and interpretation skills

  • Use data and feedback to guide teaching practice and enhance student progress

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of English curriculum and assessment programs

  • Engage actively in co-curricular and wellbeing initiatives that enrich school life

Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for VIT registration

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Experience teaching VCE English (preferred)

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
