Contract:
Full-time, ongoing
Are you a passionate VCE English teacher looking for a school where your impact is recognised—and your growth is supported?
Whether you’re experienced in senior English or ready to step up into your first VCE classes, this role offers the flexibility and support you need to thrive. With only two VCE classes allocated, capped class sizes, and the potential to take on pastoral or leadership responsibilities, it’s an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to build meaningful connections with students while continuing to develop professionally.
Why this could be a great next step for you
-
Teach a maximum of two VCE English classes
-
Work within a collaborative and values-driven English department
-
From 2026: classroom teachers can receive a 0.1 FTE pastoral care allocation
About the School
This independent P–12 school in North Central Victoria is home to 1,250 students and a welcoming staff community. With capped enrolments, a focus on wellbeing, and strong student engagement, the school fosters an environment where teachers are trusted, supported, and encouraged to grow. Staff enjoy a 38-week teaching year and a 30% discount on student fees for children enrolled at the school.
About the Role
You’ll join a respected English faculty that values clarity, collaboration, and shared responsibility for student success. The VCE teaching load is intentionally light to support deep engagement with students and strong work-life balance. There’s also scope to build toward leadership roles—including Head of House—should you wish to take that path in 2026 or beyond.
