About the VCE English and English Language Teacher Position

This position will commence in Term 1, 2027, with the college seeking a teacher capable of delivering VCE English and English Language. The specific teaching load will be discussed and developed around the successful candidate's strengths, experience and additional teaching methods, with flexibility available as the 2027 timetable is finalised. An ongoing appointment is available, although a fixed-term contract can also be considered for candidates who prefer this arrangement.

Skills & Requirements

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned VCE English and English Language lessons

• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that prioritises student wellbeing

• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and progress

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and the delivery of high-quality English programs

• Support senior students to develop strong analytical, written and communication skills in preparation for VCE assessments

• VIT registration or eligibility to obtain

• At least two references from recent employers and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding

• Full Australian working rights
