HARKE has partnered with a growing independent Christian school in Melbourne seeking a Digital Technologies / Computing Teacher to join its secondary team from January 2027.

This opportunity would suit a teacher who is passionate about contemporary digital learning, enjoys helping students build practical technology skills and wants to contribute to a school continuing to expand its programs and senior pathways.

The College is distinctly Christian, and applicants must demonstrate genuine alignment with its faith, values and ethos.

About the Position

The successful teacher will deliver Digital Technologies / Computing across secondary year levels, with the final teaching load shaped around the teacher’s experience and strengths.

HARKE is particularly interested in teachers with experience across areas such as:

  • Digital Technologies

  • Computing

  • Coding and programming

  • Software development

  • Data and digital systems

  • Computational thinking

Additional teaching areas may be considered depending on the successful applicant’s background.

  • Experience teaching Digital Technologies, Computing or a closely related subject

  • Strong knowledge of contemporary digital curriculum and practical classroom delivery

  • The ability to engage students across secondary year levels

  • Strong communication, collaboration and classroom management

  • A genuine commitment to Christian education and alignment with the College’s ethos

  • Confirmed current church attendance
  • A confirmed pastoral referee who can speak to the applicant’s Christian faith and involvement

Requirements
  • Registration: Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching

  • Work Rights: Full Australian working rights

  • Safeguarding: Two current professional referees and completion of HARKE’s onboarding process
