About the Position

This full-time, ongoing position will commence at the start of Term 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach VCE Chemistry and Junior Science within a dynamic and supportive Science faculty. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values curiosity, inquiry-based learning, and student engagement. The role offers the opportunity to inspire learners at both junior and senior levels, guiding students through foundational scientific understanding to advanced Chemistry concepts.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in VCE Chemistry and Junior Science

  • Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence through practical, inquiry-based learning

  • Use assessment data and feedback to support differentiated teaching and improved outcomes

  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen STEM initiatives across the College

  • Contribute to co-curricular and enrichment programs that promote scientific exploration

Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for VIT registration

  • Full Australian working rights

  • A genuine passion for teaching Chemistry and Science

  • Commitment to supporting the College’s Catholic ethos and community values

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
