About the Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate and knowledgeable VCE Biology Teacher commencing in January 2027. The successful candidate will primarily teach VCE Biology, while also delivering Junior Science and Technology classes. This is an ongoing, full-time position suited to an educator who is committed to achieving strong student outcomes and inspiring a love of science.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging VCE Biology and Junior Science/Technology lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom that promotes student wellbeing and academic success.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through clear and professional communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science faculty and wider teaching team to support curriculum planning and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the life of the school and uphold the Christian values and ethos of the community.

Requirements

  • Hold current VIT registration or be eligible to obtain registration.
  • Have full working rights in Australia.
  • Be able to provide a pastoral reference as part of the recruitment process.
  • Provide two current professional referees and complete HARKE's safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
