About the School
HARKE has partnered with a remote community school in Central Australia that offers a teaching experience unlike any other. This is an opportunity to work in a small school where relationships matter, your contribution is visible every day, and the impact you make extends well beyond the classroom.
The school serves a close-knit community and is supported by a committed leadership team focused on improving student engagement, attendance, and educational outcomes. Teachers who thrive in this environment are adaptable, resilient, relationship-focused, and genuinely committed to supporting young people who may face significant barriers to education.
With fully subsidised housing, utilities included, generous remote allowances, and relocation support provided, this role offers both professional challenge and financial reward.
About the Position
This full-time contract position is available for six months commencing in Term 3, 2026.
The school is seeking an educator who can build strong connections with students, establish clear expectations, and create a safe and structured learning environment. While student behaviour can at times be challenging, the successful teacher will be supported by school leadership and local staff who understand the community and students well.
The school has historically benefited from having positive male role models on staff, and applications from male teachers are encouraged. However, the school welcomes applications from all suitably qualified teachers who possess the skills, resilience, and commitment required for remote education.
This role would suit teachers seeking meaningful work, a unique professional experience, or an opportunity to make a significant impact within a remote Australian community.
