About the Position
This full-time contract position, commencing in Term 2, 2025, involves teaching either Industrial Technology or Food Technology to students across Years 7 to 10. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, skills-based lessons that support students in building confidence and competence in design, production, and food preparation. The role is well-suited to a passionate educator with strong practical knowledge in either area. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and those new to teaching technology subjects who are eager to develop their practice within a supportive environment.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Industrial Technology or Food Technology for Years 7–10.

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, particularly within practical learning spaces.

  • Communicate clearly and constructively with students, families, and colleagues to support positive outcomes.

  • Collaborate with other staff to enhance student engagement through hands-on learning projects and initiatives.

  • Demonstrate leadership in the classroom, promoting curiosity, creativity, and responsibility in student learning.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QLD Teacher Registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
