About the Position
The Student Transition Coordinator is a POL 3 leadership role dedicated to ensuring students and families experience a smooth and welcoming transition into the College. With a 12-period time allowance and 3-year tenure, this role provides strategic oversight of all transition programs, from Year 6 entry into Year 7 through to internal campus progression.

As a visible leader within the College, the Coordinator shapes the first impression families have of the school. They will work closely with partner primary schools, parishes, and the wider community to strengthen pathways and ensure every student feels prepared and supported.

This position requires a highly accomplished educator who can balance strong organisational skills with warmth, presence, and clear communication. The successful candidate will be someone who can lead colleagues, influence processes, and embody the College’s values of welcome, inclusion, and faith in action.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of all student transition programs, including Year 7 entry.

  • Build and maintain relationships with partner primary schools, parishes, and families.

  • Coordinate interviews, orientation events, and parent information sessions.

  • Develop innovative programs and resources that ease student transition.

  • Oversee administration and reporting related to enrolment and transition pathways.

  • Actively promote and model child safety and wellbeing practices across all programs.

Requirements

  • Registration: Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia.
