About the Position
This full-time Special Education Teacher (ST1) position involves working with students with additional learning needs, designing and implementing Individualised Education Programs (IEPs), and supporting student engagement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering differentiated learning experiences, fostering a positive and supportive classroom environment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position is initially offered until the end of 2025, with the potential for extension. Skills and Responsibilities
- Curriculum: Develop and deliver individualised and inclusive programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum, ensuring all students receive tailored support.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of students, adhering to all child protection policies and inclusive education frameworks.
- Communication: Engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide clear updates on student progress and learning plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with learning support staff, allied health professionals, and the school leadership team to create positive student outcomes.
- Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership in advocating for students with diverse learning needs, supporting school-wide inclusive practices.
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NT Teacher Registration Board (NTTRB) and an OCHRE Card before the start of Term 2, 2025.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
