About the Position

The school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to begin in Term 1, 2026. The role will involve supporting students with diverse learning needs across Years 7 to 12, working collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide adjustments and differentiated learning opportunities. The successful applicant will develop individual education plans, foster a supportive learning environment, and contribute to the wider school community through projects and co-curricular programs.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Teach and support students with diverse learning needs across junior and senior year levels

• Build a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student growth

• Collaborate with teaching teams to design and implement individualised learning plans

• Contribute to school initiatives and activities that promote inclusion and student engagement

Requirements

• Registration: Current NT TRB registration (or eligibility)

• Work Rights:  Working rights in Australia

• Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding process
