About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator with expertise in trauma-informed practice and student engagement . The Senior Teacher will hold a 25% FTE leadership allowance, providing both classroom teaching and leadership responsibilities. You will play a key role in guiding staff to embed trauma-informed approaches, strengthen engagement strategies, and support wellbeing initiatives across the school.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Lead whole-school initiatives in trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour management.

  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional support to classroom teachers.

  • Collaborate with leadership to implement engagement frameworks that enhance learning outcomes.

  • Foster strong, respectful relationships with students, staff, and the community.

  • Contribute to staff professional learning, compliance, and curriculum delivery.

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NT Teacher Registration Board registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
