Located 330km northwest of Alice Springs, this bilingual community school caters for students from Preschool to Year 12 across four classes: Transition–Year 2, Years 3–5, young men, and young women. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator with expertise in trauma-informed practice and student engagement . The Senior Teacher will hold a 25% FTE leadership allowance, providing both classroom teaching and leadership responsibilities. You will play a key role in guiding staff to embed trauma-informed approaches, strengthen engagement strategies, and support wellbeing initiatives across the school.
Skills and Responsibilities

Lead whole-school initiatives in trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour management.

Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional support to classroom teachers.

Collaborate with leadership to implement engagement frameworks that enhance learning outcomes.

Foster strong, respectful relationships with students, staff, and the community.

Contribute to staff professional learning, compliance, and curriculum delivery.
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NT Teacher Registration Board registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.

Flights from point of entry to Australia to Darwin / Alice Springs, with final leg to community covered.
