About the Role

This part-time fixed-term position across Terms 3 and 4, 2026 involves teaching English across Years 10 and 11, with the possibility of ongoing employment for the right candidate. The school is seeking an educator who is open and willing to teach VCE English as part of the role moving forward. The successful teacher will join a collaborative English faculty focused on delivering engaging and academically rigorous learning experiences that support literacy, analytical thinking, and student achievement.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned English lessons across Years 10 and 11
  • Support students in developing strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Demonstrate willingness and capability to contribute to VCE English programs
  • Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support academic growth
  • Collaborate effectively within the English faculty and contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements

  • Registration with or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Experience teaching secondary English, with VCE experience or willingness to teach VCE highly regarded
  • Current Mandatory Reporting / Child Safety training
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Ability to provide two professional referees
  • Completion of HARKE onboarding requirements in line with safeguarding expectations
