Senior Chemistry Teacher Salary Range: $84,000 – $127,000 plus super Type of School: Independent School in the Northern Territory Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start: Term 2, 2025

About the Position This full-time, permanent position commencing in Term 2, 2025 involves teaching Chemistry at the senior level, including Stage 1 and 2. The successful candidate will inspire students through curriculum-aligned, inquiry-based lessons that promote critical thinking and scientific exploration. Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Chemistry lessons at senior secondary level

  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment

  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources

  • Demonstrate subject leadership and a passion for science education

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (TRB NT)

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
