About the Position

This position is for a classroom teacher working with Year 9 and Year 10 students within a supportive, team-based learning environment. Teaching is shared across a small team, with curriculum delivery spanning English, Literacy, Mathematics, Health and Wellbeing, and future-focused learning. The role requires an educator who can build strong relationships, maintain calm and consistent classroom routines, and contribute to a collective approach to student learning and wellbeing. The position is open to graduate through to experienced teachers.

Skills and Responsibilities
  • Deliver curriculum-aligned learning in collaboration with a teaching team across shared subject areas.

  • Establish calm, structured classroom environments that support engagement and positive behaviour.

  • Build respectful, trusting relationships with students, colleagues, parents, families, and the wider community.

  • Support the wellbeing and safety of students through consistent routines and safeguarding practices.

  • Provide clear, timely feedback to support student learning and progress.

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain registration with the Northern Territory Teacher Registration Board.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
