About the School
HARKE has partnered with a unique alternative education provider in the Northern Territory, supporting students aged 10–17 through a highly structured, flexible, and responsive model. The school offers a low student-to-teacher ratio and values curriculum alignment, consistent teaching cycles, and clear professional expectations. Students are primarily EAL/D learners, many with complex needs, and the program focuses on English and Maths through 5-day cycles, supported by cross-curricular learning including PE, Civics, Humanities, Health, Art, Kitchen, and VET. This is a purpose-driven environment where staff safety, collaboration, and strong boundaries are prioritised.
About the Position
This is an opportunity for educators passionate about meaningful learning outcomes to join a team deeply committed to re-engaging students in education. The role suits teachers with strengths in generalist teaching, intervention, EAL/D, or foundational literacy and numeracy. Teachers work collaboratively, with daily flexibility required to respond to changing student needs. With dedicated officers supporting behaviour management, the teaching team is able to focus on educational outcomes and data-informed practice. This is a professional setting that values boundaries, student progress, and high standards.
