About the Position
The school is seeking a full-time Secondary Mathematics Teacher for a Term 2 replacement contract, covering a staff member on long service leave. The teaching load includes Mathematics across Years 7 and 9, as well as Year 10 Mathematical Methods. The role also includes responsibility for a morning pastoral group. This position would suit an educator who is confident across junior and middle years Mathematics and is available for a short-term, well-supported contract.
• Deliver engaging Mathematics programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
• Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing practices within both classroom and pastoral settings
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, colleagues, and families
• Collaborate with the Mathematics faculty on planning, assessment, and moderation
• Contribute to pastoral care through leadership of a morning pastoral group
Requirements
• Registration with, or eligibility for, VIT
• Full working rights in Australia
• Willingness to meet safeguarding requirements, including referee checks and onboarding
• Clear, defined Term 2 contract
• Supportive leadership and collaborative Mathematics team
• Opportunity to teach Mathematical Methods at Year 10
• Strong pastoral and wellbeing framework
