This full-time position, commencing in Term 2, 2025, is a specialist role in Secondary Inclusive Education. The successful candidate will support 5–7 students with high needs through a combination of line management, co-teaching, and case coordination. The role requires or develops expertise in special education, literacy and numeracy intervention, and wellbeing support. The teacher will play a key role in facilitating inclusive learning, supporting student transitions across year levels and programs, and working closely with staff and families to ensure individualised support plans are implemented effectively.
The school is open to applicants with or without prior experience in Inclusive Education. While experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, the team is equally enthusiastic about training and supporting someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a positive difference.
Skills and Responsibilities

Design and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons and interventions tailored to diverse learner needs.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, with a strong focus on inclusive practice and safeguarding.

Maintain clear, purposeful communication with students, staff, and families to support collaborative case management.

Work closely with teaching teams to co-plan and co-teach lessons that promote inclusive learning environments.

Demonstrate leadership in managing individualised support plans and student transitions.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QLD Teacher Registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
