About the Position
This fixed-term role commencing in Term 3 involves teaching German to students in Years 7–12. The successful candidate will foster students’ love of language and culture through engaging lessons that build communication skills and cultural understanding. Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in German for Years 7–12

  • Create a positive and respectful classroom culture that supports language learning

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families to promote student success

  • Contribute to co-curricular or enrichment opportunities within the language department

  • Actively participate in professional development and team planning sessions

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
