About the Position

This contract role commencing in Term 3 involves teaching English and Humanities across Years 7–12. The school is seeking a versatile educator with a love of literature and history who can bring energy and clarity to the classroom. You’ll have the opportunity to work with engaged learners and a supportive faculty in a well-established academic setting.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in English and Humanities from Years 7–12

  • Foster a classroom environment where students are encouraged to think critically and express ideas confidently

  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs

  • Engage in meaningful pastoral care and contribute to the wider school community

  • Participate in faculty planning, assessments, and co-curricular opportunities


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
