About the Position

This full-time, ongoing position will commence at the start of Term 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach English across Years 7–12, engaging students through meaningful discussion, creative expression, and critical analysis. You’ll join a collegial team dedicated to supporting student literacy, confidence, and achievement, while being part of a welcoming and values-driven school community.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned English lessons across Years 7–12.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design innovative learning experiences.
  • Contribute to school life through pastoral care and co-curricular involvement.
  • Uphold and model the values of Catholic education.

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
