About the Position

The school is seeking a Secondary Dance Teacher to join on a full-time fixed-term contract through to December 2026, commencing Term 2. The role includes teaching Dance across Years 7–10, with the potential to also teach Year 9 English classes depending on experience and preference. The successful teacher will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons, supporting students to develop performance skills, creativity and confidence, while contributing to the wider performing arts program.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver Dance curriculum across Years 7–10 in line with the Victorian Curriculum
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding progress and engagement
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Arts and English faculties to support student outcomes
• Contribute to performances and co-curricular activities within the performing arts program

Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
