About the Position
This full-time fixed-term opportunity involves teaching a diverse Science load including Chemistry, STEM, Year 7 Science and Year 8 Science. The role offers the opportunity to work across both junior and senior secondary levels, fostering scientific curiosity while building strong foundations in scientific thinking, inquiry and problem-solving. Teachers with a passion for hands-on learning, innovation and developing student engagement in Science will be well suited to this position.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Science programs across Year 7 Science, Year 8 Science, STEM and Chemistry.
- Foster curiosity, critical thinking and scientific inquiry through practical and theory-based learning experiences.
- Maintain safe laboratory and classroom practices in accordance with school policies.
- Use assessment data to monitor student progress and inform teaching practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and student achievement.
Requirements
- Registration: Must hold or be eligible for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
