About the Role
The school is seeking a passionate and collaborative Science Teacher to join the team for a fixed-term leave replacement position for the remainder of 2026. Full-time or part-time applicants will be considered.
The successful educator will contribute positively to the school community while delivering engaging Science programs that support student learning, wellbeing, and academic growth. The ability to teach Maths would be viewed favourably, though this is not essential.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science teaching and learning programs
- Ability to teach Maths will be viewed favourably but is not essential
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievement
- Implement effective classroom management and student wellbeing practices
- Use student data to inform teaching approaches and improve learning outcomes
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive staff culture
Requirements
- Registration with or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Full Australian work rights
- Ability to provide two professional referees
- Completion of HARKE onboarding requirements relating to safeguarding and compliance
