About the Position
This full-time, permanent position commences in Term 2 or Term 3, 2025, depending on availability. The role involves teaching Science across Years 7–10, with the potential to teach in senior years based on experience and subject strengths. The successful candidate will bring subject expertise, a passion for engaging students in scientific thinking, and a commitment to fostering curiosity and critical thinking in a values-aligned setting.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach Science in a curriculum-aligned and engaging way across Years 7–10 (and potentially senior levels)

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment in line with school values and safeguarding policies

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support learning and wellbeing

  • Collaborate within the Science faculty to plan, assess, and deliver high-quality learning experiences

  • Contribute to the broader school community through involvement in co-curricular or enrichment programs

Requirements
  • Applicants must be respectful of and supportive toward the Islamic ethos of the school

  • Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NESA accreditation

  • Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
