About the Position
This full-time, permanent position is suited to a qualified Science teacher with a specialisation in either Physics or Chemistry, confident in teaching to Year 11 and 12. The role is available to commence in Term 2 or Term 3, with flexibility to support the right teacher’s transition. You’ll be part of a collaborative Science department that values innovation, critical thinking, and a love of scientific inquiry.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Science lessons, with a focus on Physics or Chemistry in Stage 6

  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom, ensuring student wellbeing and safeguarding

  • Communicate clearly with students, families, and colleagues to support learning outcomes

  • Collaborate within the Science faculty to develop resources, assessments, and teaching strategies

  • Lead and inspire students through passionate subject delivery and academic mentorship

Requirements
  • Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NESA accreditation.

  • Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
