About the Position

The school is seeking a full-time ongoing Science Teacher commencing in Term 4, 2026. The school can offer a Term 1, 2027 start upon negotiation.

The successful teacher will bring strong secondary Science capability, with particular expertise in Chemistry and the ability to teach senior secondary Chemistry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking an ongoing role within a well-established Science faculty in Darwin.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Science programs across secondary year levels, including senior secondary Chemistry.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, student safeguarding and wellbeing.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning and progress.
  • Collaborate with Science colleagues on curriculum planning, practical work, assessment and moderation.
  • Contribute positively to the Science faculty and broader academic life of the school.

Requirements

  • Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications with the capability to teach secondary Science and Chemistry.
  • Full Australian work rights.
  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
