About the Religious Education Teacher Position

This position will commence in Term 1, 2027, with the college seeking a Religious Education Teacher to contribute to its secondary curriculum. As the 2027 timetable is still being developed, there is flexibility to shape the teaching load around the successful candidate's experience and additional teaching methods. An ongoing appointment is available, although a fixed-term contract can also be considered for candidates who prefer this arrangement.

Skills & Requirements

• Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons aligned with curriculum requirements and the Catholic ethos of the college

• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment with a strong focus on student wellbeing

• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning and progress

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and broader faith-based initiatives

• Contribute positively to the Catholic identity, values and wider life of the college

• VIT registration or eligibility to obtain

• At least two references from recent employers and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding

• Full Australian working rights
