About the Position

This full-time position involves teaching senior Psychology and Sociology to Years 11 and 12. The role is available for an immediate start and will initially run until the end of Semester 1, with a strong likelihood of extension for the remainder of the year and potential for an ongoing opportunity. The successful candidate will deliver engaging senior curriculum, support students in developing analytical and critical thinking skills, and contribute positively to the Humanities faculty.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver the senior Psychology and Sociology curriculum in alignment with VCAA requirements
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding student progress
• Collaborate with faculty members to support curriculum planning and student outcomes
• Contribute to the ongoing development and leadership within the Humanities faculty

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT Teacher Registration.
  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
